A building at Al Kozini Islamic boarding school located in East Java, Indonesia has collapsed, killing 6 people with 59 still trapped in the rubble. Five survivors were rescued two days after the collapse, but rescue operations are being hampered by earthquakes. The accident is believed to have been caused by the unauthorized construction of two additional floors on the building. In Indonesia, loose building regulations mean such accidents occur frequently. Rescue teams are supplying survivors with water and food while conducting rescue operations as quickly as possible.
