LG Electronics to Launch 'LG Grambook AI 2026' 14-inch Laptop on September 7th
LG Electronics will launch a new, practical laptop, the 'LG Grambook AI 2026' 14-inch (model number 14U40V), on September 7th to help customers cope with chip price inflation.
The new laptop is equipped with a '2026 Intel Core series 3 processor (code name 'Wildcat Lake')' that maximizes performance per watt and a 61.2Wh large-capacity battery, allowing for up to 30.5 hours of use without charging. Turning on low noise mode allows users to work on light documents or watch videos in quiet spaces like libraries and offices.
The exterior is made entirely of aluminum with a subtle sheen, providing a premium feel and durability. Despite its full metal body, it weighs only 1.29kg and has a thickness of 14.9mm, making it thin and light. It's also the first 14-inch Grambook model, making it easy to carry in a bag.
The laptop runs on the Windows operating system, which is compatible with various software including MS Office and HWP. This allows users to work in a familiar PC environment and install security programs from banks and government agencies without issues. The keyboard's Copilot shortcut keys also allow for immediate use of Windows AI features.
The laptop also features various input ports, including HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, headphone jack, and wired LAN (RJ-45), allowing for easy connection to peripheral devices. The screen can be duplicated or extended to be used as a secondary monitor. The built-in 'LG Gram Link' program allows users to connect to mobile devices from various manufacturers, such as smartphones and tablets, enabling file transfer of photos and videos, and using the laptop keyboard and touchpad for mobile device input.
Furthermore, the new laptop addresses security concerns. It comes equipped with a webcam shutter, which is rarely found in entry-level laptops. By closing the shutter after video conferencing or online classes, users can prevent hacking and privacy breaches.
Sales will begin on September 7th through LG Electronics' official online brand shop LGE.com and open marketplaces. Prices start at 1.45 million won (prices may vary depending on the specific model).
Subscribing to Grambook allows users to receive free A/S for the duration of the subscription contract (up to 4 years). Even if component prices or repair costs increase during the contract period, the subscription fee remains the same. The battery and keyboard can also be replaced free of charge once within the subscription period depending on the selected care service. Users can enjoy the desired specifications without initial cost burden and utilize discounts from partner cards and LG Electronics membership points to reduce monthly subscription fees.
