Industrial production in Korea in July remained flat compared to the previous month, while consumption decreased by 2.4%. On the other hand, capital expenditure recorded an increase for two consecutive months due to the semiconductor boom, rising by 7.5%. Service sector production decreased by 1.3%, the largest decline in four years and five months, due to factors such as a decrease in stock trading fees, heat waves, and high prices. The government judges that the economic recovery momentum is continuing and plans to strengthen support for people's livelihoods.
