A man in his 30s, Mr. A, suspected of drunk driving in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, refused a breathalyzer test by police and fled the scene by car before plunging into the sea. Despite attempts to stop him by officers who responded to the police report, Mr. A drove away, injuring a police officer in the process. The Changwon Coast Guard discovered Mr. A's submerged vehicle approximately 3 km from where the chase began and rescued him. Police arrested Mr. A as an offender on charges including obstruction of justice and assault, and are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident.
