Commission XI of the House of Representatives has officially appointed Destry Damayanti as Governor of Bank Indonesia for the period 2026-2031. This decision was taken based on the results of a fit and proper test and deliberation among commission members. In addition to Destry, Aida S. Budiman was appointed as Senior Deputy Governor and Solikin M. Juhro as Deputy Governor for the same term. This appointment will be ratified through a Plenary Session of the House of Representatives on September 1, 2026. Previously, Destry Damayanti served as Senior Deputy Governor and Acting Governor (Pgs) of BI after Perry Warjiyo's resignation.
