President Lee Jae-myung discussed regional development strategies with provincial governors from across the country at the 10th Central Local Cooperation Conference held at the Blue House on the 26th. The central government presented measures to support growth led by local governments, including regional spatial redesign, residential environment package support, and redesign of preferential systems for local governments. Each metropolitan government presented a 'Local Government-Led Growth Success Strategy' reflecting regional strengths, followed by free discussion. The president emphasized the importance of decentralization and balanced regional development to solve the problem of concentration in the Seoul metropolitan area. In addition, an amendment to the 'Central Local Cooperation Conference Operation Plan' was adopted to expand the representativeness of basic local governments.
