Sergeant A of Jeju West Police Station was arrested on suspicion of falsely ending a missing person report. Sergeant A received a commendation from the police chief for finding the missing person, one month after falsely concluding the case of Mr. Jang's disappearance. He had received multiple awards in the past, but also had a history of disciplinary action due to domestic violence. Sergeant A is also under investigation for allegedly secretly filming in a women's restroom. These incidents have significantly damaged the credibility of the police.
