Destry Damayanti, Acting Governor of Bank Indonesia, stated that the Indonesian economic cycle is not yet optimal and still requires growth acceleration. She identified the potential for credit improvement through optimization of undisbursed loan funds, which reached Rp2.548 trillion or 21% of the ceiling. Destry also emphasized the importance of promoting SME loans to maintain people's purchasing power. According to her, economic stability alone is not enough and BI needs to strengthen the policy mix to support sustainable economic growth. As the sole candidate for BI Governor, Destry is committed to carrying out a larger mandate and responsibility by increasing the institutional capacity of BI.
