LS MnM is planning to dispatch about 6 Korean resident engineers to Indonesia Morowali TMI Corporation for related work from November 2026.
Therefore, we are recruiting a Korean-Chinese interpreter who will support smooth communication and work collaboration between Korean resident engineers, IMIP Chinese managers, and the local organization.
This position is not simply an office interpreter but requires on-site interpretation and communication support in areas such as production, facilities, safety, and operations.
* We are looking for candidates who can work in remote Morowali and be assigned independently.
2. Main Duties
- Korean resident engineers ↔ IMIP and local Chinese managers: Korean-Chinese interpretation
- Interpretation for management, operation, production, facilities, safety, on-site discussions, and various meetings
- Support in conveying work instructions and responding to on-site issues
- Communication and coordination related to on-site work
- Translation and writing support for technical and operational documents such as meeting materials, reports, and work instructions
- Coordination of work between Korean resident engineers, IMIP, and the local organization
- Other on-site operation, management, and support tasks
* Additional tasks may be assigned depending on the candidate's language proficiency, interpretation experience, manufacturing/on-site experience, and job suitability.
3. Essential Qualifications
- Top-notch Korean-Chinese interpretation skills
- Ability to communicate smoothly with Korean resident engineers and Chinese managers
- Willingness to work long-term in Morowali, Indonesia
- Acceptance of a work environment where family accompaniment is generally restricted
- Ability to work six days a week depending on the local situation
- No disqualification reasons for obtaining an Indonesian local employment visa
4. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing/plant/production site interpretation
- Experience working for Chinese manufacturing/plant/mining/smelting/construction companies
- Experience in production, facilities, safety, quality-related work or technical document translation
- Overseas residence/work experience in China or Indonesia
- Proficiency in English or Indonesian
- Experience collaborating with Chinese managers and local organizations
