The Korea Maritime and Ocean University BRES Center is seeking highly motivated and proactive researchers to join our team. We are pleased to announce the following job opening:
1. Job Opening and Number of Positions
Researcher (0 positions)
- Preparation of reports related to the operation of the Korea-Indonesia Marine Plant Cooperation Center (weekly, monthly reports, business plans, etc.)
- Support for R&D and ODA project operations
- Workplace: Korea-Indonesia Marine Plant Cooperation Center (located in the Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries)
2. Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 19 years old.
- Applicants must not have any disqualifications for overseas travel.
- Applicants must not have any disqualifications as stipulated in Article 33 of the State Public Officials Act.
- Applicants must not be subject to employment restrictions under Article 56 of the Act on the Protection of Children and Adolescents from Sexual Exploitation.
- Applicants must not have their eligibility suspended by any other law or regulation.
(Preferred Qualifications)
- Proficiency in English and Indonesian
- Experience in national research and development or commissioned projects
3. Employment Conditions
❍ Contract employee of the BRES Center, not a public official
❍ Contract period: One year from the date of hire (including a three-month probationary period)
※ After two years, a performance evaluation will be conducted to determine eligibility for conversion to an indefinite contract. The indefinite contract conversion rate for the past three years has been 100%.
❍ Salary: Approximately KRW 24 million per year (before tax, excluding severance pay)
❍ Working hours: Five days a week (Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, including one hour for lunch break)
※ Work from home on Fridays
❍ Welfare benefits: Enrollment in the four major social insurance programs and other labor standards act provisions apply.

❍ Final selection will be made based on interview scores among candidates who have not been disqualified.
❍ If there are no qualified candidates, hiring may be withheld.

❍ If the initial successful candidate declines the offer, their qualification is canceled, they become ineligible for employment after being hired, or they resign, additional successful candidates may be selected from among those who were not disqualified within six months of the announcement of the final selection results. The selection will be based on interview scores. |
※ Reference matters: In accordance with Article 31 (1) of the Act on the Treatment and Support of National Merit Recipients, etc., additional points are awarded to applicants who are eligible for employment support as national merit recipients. If there is a tie in scores, the applicant who is prioritized according to Article 4 will be selected first.
7. Other Matters
❍ Any disadvantage caused by errors or omissions in the submitted documents is the responsibility of the applicant.
❍ If false information is found in the application form and supporting documents, or if a disqualification reason is found, the pass will be canceled, and additional documents may be requested from the final successful candidate.
❍ In accordance with Article 11 of the Act on Fairness of Employment Procedures, submitted documents will be returned only upon request by the applicant within 30 days after the announcement of the final successful candidates. After that, they will be discarded.

❍ If a disqualification reason is found in the identity verification result after being determined as the final successful candidate, the pass or employment may be canceled.
❍ In case of forfeiture of the successful candidate or other circumstances such as disqualification reasons, additional selection may be conducted in order of interview evaluation scores (reserve candidates).
