Democratic Party of Korea Kim Young-bae, chairman of the Seoul branch, met with Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon to discuss the housing supply in Yongsan Park but failed to narrow their differences. Rep. Kim criticized the city's opposition to the housing supply in Yongsan Park and the green belt release as self-centered politics. However, Mayor Oh proposed finding alternative sites for future generations' green belt preservation and realistic housing supply. The Seoul Metropolitan Government stated that the main part of Yongsan Park could not be used for housing supply and presented alternative sites such as the Kyungri-dan site. However, Rep. Kim pointed out that development prerequisites were not secured. The two agreed that there was sufficient room for discussion on regulatory revisions, such as redevelopment and reconstruction floor area ratio incentives.
