2,375 people applied for the special appointment of the Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water), which is 82.6% of the quota, and recruitment was completed. Among the applicants, it is estimated that there were over 100 prosecutors, and people with various experiences from senior prosecutor to deputy chief prosecutor, chief prosecutor, and general prosecutor applied. K-water will launch on October 2nd and plans to investigate seven major crimes, including corruption, economic crimes, defense industry projects, cybercrimes, and crimes of legal distortion. The remaining personnel that are not filled through the special appointment will be filled through additional special appointments and career competitive recruitment.
