Due to the increasing trend of digital sex crimes, the Korean government has announced measures to strengthen penalties and investigations against illegal distribution sites. Legislation will be amended to punish operators of illegal sites, and an 'active defense system' will be introduced to allow investigative agencies to collect evidence through hacking and delete original data. In addition, there are plans to block funds by prohibiting advertising on illegal sites and suspending transactions in operating accounts, as well as strengthening technological defenses by building an automatic detection system for 'domain shuttling'. Through these measures, the government aims to eradicate digital sex crimes and take a more proactive approach to protecting victims.
