The Daejong Film Awards will be held on March 12th next year, for the first time in four years. The Korea Film Producers Association acquired the trademark rights and resumed the film festival. The awards ceremony had not been held since the 59th Daejong Film Awards in 2023 due to the bankruptcy of the former host organization, the Korea Film Directors' Union. The association established November 20th as 'Daejong Day' to commemorate the history of the Daejong Film Awards and the dedication of film professionals. It is planned to express gratitude to film professionals every year on 'Daejong Day'.
