The National Museum of Korea is opening an exhibition titled "Chusa Kim Jeong-hee and His Companions" on November 11th, introducing Chusa Kim Jeong-hee, a representative intellectual and artist of 19th century Joseon. This exhibition showcases a total of 38 works by Chusa Kim Jeong-hee, including calligraphy, paintings, and letters, demonstrating his academic achievements and artistic talents. Notably, the national treasure "Bulisaenlando" will be unveiled for the first time, along with "Sodongpaipgeokdo," which shows his interactions with Chinese literati, and works by his disciple Heo Ryeon and Hyeongseondae-wontheung Lee Ihaeng. The exhibition provides a meaningful opportunity to see Chusa Kim Jeong-hee's life, in which he achieved excellence through scholarship and art while connecting with people regardless of region or social status. The exhibition runs until November 22nd, and from December onwards, the "Joseon Modernism: Paintings of the Late Joseon Period" exhibition will be held.
