Gyeonggi Education Superintendent Ahn Min-seok designated the teacher intimidation incident that occurred at Bucheon Ojong Elementary School as the 'First Case of Educational Activity Infringement' and filed a criminal complaint against the malicious parent. The parent in question filed a complaint against the teacher who mediated a dispute between children and even held a picket demonstration, leading to the teacher being subjected to criminal charges and civil lawsuits for child abuse allegations. Despite the parent's apology and withdrawal of the lawsuit, Superintendent Ahn decided to file a complaint to protect teachers' rights and emphasized that he would sternly respond to any acts that infringe on legitimate educational activities in the future. In conjunction with this, the Gyeonggi Education Office plans to select 300 'dedicated personnel for teacher rights protection' to provide one-on-one dedicated support to teachers from the initial stage of an incident to its resolution.
