The Korea Development Institute (KDI) analyzed that the trend of improvement in the Korean economy is expanding due to increased semiconductor exports and facility investment. In particular, consumption has also become active, such as an increase in sales of automobiles and home appliances. However, the inflation rate remains at a high level, and the employment growth rate is showing a slowdown trend, indicating that domestic and external uncertainties persist. KDI emphasized that while the boom in the semiconductor sector is leading economic recovery, the economic outlook is still difficult to predict due to US tariff measures and geopolitical instability in the Middle East.
