Employment insurance subscribers aged 29 and under have been decreasing for 47 consecutive months, indicating a serious employment crisis among young people. The economic downturn, job mismatch, companies' preference for experienced workers, and the introduction of artificial intelligence are cited as causes. On the other hand, subscribers in their 40s increased for the first time in 33 months thanks to the increase in women's economic activity participation. By industry, the service sector led the increase, but the manufacturing and construction sectors continued to decline. In particular, the manufacturing sector showed a clear polarization between export-performing industries and those that are not.
