Although sales of the Nintendo Switch 2 console fell by about 34 percent in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, Nintendo posted financial results that exceeded analyst expectations. Nintendo's revenue reached 517.8 billion yen (approximately Rp 58.5 trillion) with a net profit of 147.4 billion yen (approximately Rp 16.7 trillion). Game sales were the main driver of this success, particularly Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream which sold 7.94 million copies and Pokemon Pokopia which sold 1.27 million copies. Sales of the first-generation Nintendo Switch also declined by 31.8 percent. Despite slowing hardware sales, Nintendo was able to record high revenue and profits thanks to strong software sales.
