An 89-year-old woman riding a four-wheeled electric vehicle crashed into the safety fence next to the road on Deokjeok Island in Incheon, falling 2 meters down into a field. The woman complained of pain in both arms at the time of the accident and was transported to the hospital by Coast Guard vessel. The woman had been suffering from an underlying illness and died two days after the accident, on the 5th. Fire authorities decided to transport the patient by Coast Guard vessel instead of helicopter based on the judgment of a medical director.
