The Bekasi region in Indonesia suffered severe flooding damage due to heavy rainfall that began on the 3rd. Nearly all areas of Bekasi City and Bekasi Regency were submerged, and residents found themselves in isolated situations waiting for rescue from their rooftops. Hospitals and shopping malls were also inundated with water, and severe traffic congestion occurred as KRL and TransJakarta services were suspended or delayed. Additionally, vehicle congestion developed at the Bekasi Barat toll gate, where police adjusted traffic flow. The Kemang Pratama bridge collapsed due to the flooding, and one vehicle was swept away by the current. Fortunately, the driver was rescued safely.
