The Chinese government announced that it has developed more than 400 humanoid robot models, exceeding half of the total models in the world. This number refers to the number of models developed, not the number of units produced or sold. In addition to humanoid robots, China also dominates the quadruped robot market with a sales share of nearly 70% globally in the first half of 2026. Advancements in China's robotics industry are supported by a strong manufacturing ecosystem, an efficient supply chain, and large investments in the high-tech sector. Currently, the humanoid robot industry in China is entering a phase of mass production and commercialization.
