A fire broke out on the passenger ship 'Muticara Sejahtera 2', carrying 271 people, in the waters off East Java, Indonesia. The accident resulted in five deaths and 41 missing persons, while the remaining 225 were rescued. The fire occurred while the vessel was en route from Surabaya to Makassar, and passengers jumped into the sea in a panic. Indonesian authorities are currently searching the accident site and plan to investigate the cause of the fire after the rescue operation.
