Kim Hyun-joo, CEO of Transcultures, plans to distribute 10,000 educational notebooks containing photos and descriptions of artifacts to Beninese students who have received cultural heritage from France in September. Kim said that through this project, she wanted to contribute to international cooperation as a global citizen, and emphasized that Korea should also strengthen its diplomatic power by uniting with African countries like Benin to permanently return the Oegyujanggak Archives from France. Kim decided to create notebooks for Beninese students to learn about their own cultural heritage, inspired by Dokdo notebooks, after working in the field of African cultural education at UNESCO for a long time. Transcultures will produce 10,000 notebooks with support from Korean companies and plans to expand its support through additional fundraising.
