The Central Election Management Committee will hold the first review of election appeals cases for the June 3 local elections. Jang Dong-hyuk, representative of People Power Party, will attend in person to point out issues such as a shortage of ballot papers, suspicions of 'twin votes', and suspicions of vote manipulation in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon areas, and request a recount and re-election. The Election Management Committee allowed Jang's oral argument but prohibited live broadcasting or recording. The Election Appeals Committee must make a decision within 60 days, and the results are expected to be announced around mid-next month.
