The South Korean government led by President Lee Jae-myung has secured a $950 billion semiconductor cooperation through the AI Summit held in San Francisco, USA. Samsung Electronics and SK are among domestic companies that have partnered with global big tech companies such as NVIDIA and Broadcom. Samsung Electronics will collaborate with Broadcom on a $200 billion advanced memory semiconductor supply and AI chip production foundry partnership, while SK will pursue a $7.5 trillion long-term advanced memory semiconductor supply cooperation with NVIDIA and others. In addition, domestic companies are expected to participate in the construction of large-scale AI data centers utilizing approximately 2 million GPUs in collaboration with NVIDIA. Global CEOs requested an improvement in licensing speed from the South Korean government, and President Lee Jae-myung expressed his strong will to provide policy support.
