In Cianjur District, West Java, Indonesia, eight people died and four fell into critical condition after consuming pure alcohol with 96% concentration. The victims ordered five-liter containers of alcohol through an online marketplace and mixed it with flavored beverages before consuming it. After alcohol ingestion, the victims complained of chest pain, headaches, and nausea, and were transported to hospitals, with one person dying. Police secured empty alcohol containers from the incident scene, though statements from survivors have not yet been obtained.
