The Financial Services Authority (OJK) is investigating allegations of harassment by Kredivo debt collectors against consumers in Purworejo. The OJK has summoned Kredivo and KreditFazz to clarify the incident and requested them to conduct an internal investigation. Although the collection was carried out by a third party, the OJK emphasized that Kredivo remains responsible for the actions of the debt collectors. Kredivo and KreditFazz were asked to evaluate the governance of the use of third parties in debt collection and strengthen policies and procedures for debt collection. If violations are found, the OJK promises to take firm action within its authority.
