Immigration officials at Indonesia's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport were found to have solicited illegal payments from foreign nationals. The Minister of Immigration and Corrections announced the dismissal of approximately 30 employees involved in the incident and pledged to implement system improvements. Following an investigation based on information provided by the Chinese Embassy, it was confirmed that Chinese citizens were subjected to 44 instances of bribery demands from immigration officials.
