    Haeinsa Indonesia was established in 1991 with the start of a family Dharma meeting. Three years later, Venerable Wonmyeong changed the name of the temple to Haeinsa Buddhist Temple. In 2007, it was officially registered as a Buddhist temple by the Indonesian Ministry of Religion.
    In July 2012, through the unveiling ceremony of the Buddha statue, the Dharma hall was completed and took its final form. Regular Dharma meetings are held on the first day of every lunar month, Ji Jang's birthday, Kwan Um's birthday, and every Sunday for family Dharma meetings.
    Haeinsa Indonesia has 150 households and over 250 registered followers. It is actively engaged in various social contribution activities such as volunteer work and support for the underprivileged.
