The Korea Shareholders' Rights Protection Association filed a complaint against Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix regarding their performance bonus payment methods. The group alleged that Labor Minister Kim Young-hoon urged the conclusion of an agreement to prevent strikes, knowing that performance bonuses were not subject to collective bargaining. They accused him of abuse of power and filed a complaint against him. Additionally, they filed a complaint against Samsung Electronics' Younghyun Jeon and Taemun Noh, as well as SK Hynix's Nojung Kwak, for charges including embezzlement. The group argued that the CEOs of both companies compromised on performance bonus payments, leading to the outflow of company assets. They emphasized that the performance bonus payment method was illegal and that the external outflow of company funds should be a matter decided at a shareholders' meeting.
