As of the end of 2025, household net assets per capita amounted to 274.75 million won, a 9.1% increase. The main reason for this is the rise in asset values such as housing prices and stocks. However, due to the increasing proportion of foreign ownership of domestic stocks, net financial assets decreased by 20.4%, resulting in an increase in national net assets of only 2.2%. Real estate accounted for 76.6% of total national net assets, and the total value of housing increased by 8.0% compared to the previous year. The increase in overseas stock investments by domestic residents contributed to the increase in net financial assets, but the increase in foreign ownership of domestic stocks led to a decrease in net financial assets.
