A man in his 50s collapsed on a train at Songnae Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province and went into cardiac arrest. At the time, Kyungmin Oh, a nurse at Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, and Yebon Jo, a nurse at Inha University Hospital, rushed to provide emergency care despite the heavy rain. The two nurses restored the patient's spontaneous circulation using cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and an automated external defibrillator (AED). The patient was then transported to the hospital by ambulance for further treatment. A Bucheon Fire Station official emphasized the importance of CPR education for citizens.
