The fire that broke out at the Coupang logistics center in Incheon's Seohae-gu has been ongoing for more than 59 hours. Fire authorities have issued a national firefighting mobilization order and are deploying equipment and personnel to put out the fire, but they are facing difficulties due to flammable materials inside the logistics center and its complex structure. In particular, efforts are being made to prevent the fire from spreading to the 5th floor, which houses robots equipped with lithium batteries, and collapse warning devices have been installed in preparation for the possibility of building collapse. Residents have voluntarily moved to temporary shelters due to concerns about smoke and dust damage, and nearby kindergartens and elementary schools have been advised to close.
