A woman in her 30s, Ms. A, was indicted on suspicion of murdering her prospective mother-in-law, Ms. B, with hydrochloric acid. However, the first trial court acquitted her due to issues such as evidence contamination and unclear motive for the crime. The prosecution appealed this decision and is pursuing the clarification of facts through supplementary investigation. The supplementary investigation includes filling in missing parts of the existing DNA analysis and analyzing DNA from a new perspective. It is known that Ms. A had conflicts with Ms. B over dowry issues and their mother-in-law/daughter-in-law relationship. Police found a plastic bag containing hydrochloric acid at Ms. A's residence and detected her DNA. The next appellate court hearing is scheduled for the 26th of next month.
