Indonesia's Ministry of Industry has requested Boeing to construct an aircraft component manufacturing plant within Indonesia. This initiative aims to address connectivity and supply chain issues in Indonesia while developing the MRO industry. The ministry has asked Boeing to provide licenses to local MRO companies such as GMF AeroAsia and Batam AeroTechnic, and to support the construction of aviation training centers. Additionally, the ministry urged Boeing to actively participate in revitalizing the local industry through domestic component production and the adoption of sustainable aviation fuel. Boeing expressed its willingness to strengthen future cooperation based on its 75-year partnership with Indonesia.
