The Fair Trade Commission awarded a special bonus of 21 million won to public officials who uncovered and penalized collusion cases related to people's livelihoods, such as flour and bank loan-to-value (LTV) ratios. The flour collusion dedicated investigation team imposed fines of 671 billion won in about four months, and the LTV information exchange collusion dedicated investigation team first applied the information exchange collusion prohibition regulations newly established by the amendment of the Fair Trade Act in 2020. In addition, Na Sang-tae, an investigator who uncovered flour collusion, and Seong-hoon Park, a civil servant who revealed HDC's unfair financial support practices, also received awards. Public officials who penalized violations of subcontracting laws by five delivery companies and the practice of backdoor money at funeral homes also received bonuses.
