The Bali Ngurah Rai Immigration Office is investigating a foreign national VV from India on suspicion of abusing his residency permit. VV entered Bali on a tourist visa but was found conducting tour guide activities, welcoming and guiding foreign tourists at the airport. This enforcement action has intensified following recent protests by Bali tourism drivers against illegal activities by foreign tour guides. In 2024, approximately 6.37 million foreign tourists visited Bali, with 178 of them deported for violating immigration regulations.
