I stopped riding road bikes for a few years, and after about two years
I bought the road bike I had been longing for
In a way, there doesn't seem to be any exercise quite like this
Although I was concerned about the 52/36 mid-compact
Because there doesn't seem to be as good value for money as Fuoco Pro
I chose without hesitation
As soon as I received it, I tried spinning the pedals without the chain
and it spun about one and a half times and stopped
I've seen posts saying that the bottom bracket doesn't have a big impact on pedaling
but I decided to check it anyway
While riding, when I need adequate torque and adequate speed
in those situations
the pedaling doesn't feel right and it feels difficult
Even testing alternately with 52/17 and 52/19...
I wondered if it might be because of the tires
The tires didn't seem to be the issue. Anyway, the tires
I'll replace them after riding for a bit
whether it's because of the tires... or the bottom bracket...
or if the hub bearing also plays a part
When I ride, all I feel is that it's boring and difficult
Before buying the road bike, I trained with public bikes
With this heavy and sluggish bike
Namsan took 7 minutes 9 seconds, but with the road bike it was 7 minutes 3 seconds
I was just dumbfounded...
Public bikes are useless even on slight uphills
I rode 100km on the Han River, including all the spots, with only 2 breaks
but with the road bike, 115km around the Han River including both sides
I don't even know how many times I had to rest
Before purchasing, if the performance wasn't good, I had plans
to replace the bottom bracket and hub bearing, or otherwise replace with other wheelsets
but I had prepared contingency plans
When I feel that all the fitness training I've done so far is meaningless
even the desire to replace things one by one has cooled
Full carbon 105 should be enough specs
but after riding for a few more days and observing any changes in feel
I need to decide what to do next
