A Canadian overclocker named "saltycroissant" broke the world record by running DDR5 RAM at a speed of 6,802 MHz. He used a single Corsair Vengeance LP DDR5 RAM module with a capacity of 24 GB installed on a Gigabyte Z890 Aorus Tachyon Duo X ICE motherboard and cooled it with liquid nitrogen. This speed exceeds the standard specifications for consumer DDR5 RAM, which typically ranges from 4,800-6,400 MHz. Although he reached 6,861 MHz, that figure has not been officially verified, so the current world record remains at 6,802 MHz. This achievement returns saltycroissant to his position as the world's best overclocker.
