I rode for about 4 years, then took a break for about 3 years (childcare ㅠㅠ)
I needed exercise, so I started browsing used bikes. I found a listing I liked. (Specs and size were exactly what I wanted)
I inquired with the seller, but both texts and calls received poor responses. The tone was short and dismissive, like "if you're not buying, don't bother."
It was a shame, but I gave up, and then about a month later, the price dropped slightly. I reached out again.
As expected, the short text reply left me confused.
I thought I should see the bike in person, so I asked to meet on a day off. We set a date.
(From this point on, the seller became very responsive)
Thankfully, we decided to meet at a sports park near an interchange at a midpoint location.
As soon as I got out, I looked at the bike's condition and I was just amazed. @_@
(Passport Sports wheel new, Fizik 3D saddle new, etc.)
(He asked for cash, so I increased my withdrawal limit and got cash) Then the seller smoothly negotiated with me.
He gave me all sorts of explanations about the bike, and when I mentioned I had taken a break and was starting again, he took out all sorts of things from his trunk.
Do you have a helmet? (Yes. I'll give it to you cheap.)
Do you have shoes? (Yes. I have a pair that's barely been worn. They're S-Works 7 series. If the size fits, I'll give them to you for 50,000 won.)
(*Since the bike size matched, roughly everything else fit too)
I received a new jersey, but it was too tight so I couldn't wear it, but he recommended an affordable Korean brand, so I ordered a few and I'm wearing them really well.
He asked me to take it for a test ride, and he filmed a video to give me fitting guidance. Raise the saddle. Pull it. And so on.
I'm still riding it well, I love it so much, and tomorrow (a day off) I'm going to ride it again.
Every time I ride, I think of that person, so I'm writing this rambling post today.
Everyone, be safe and have fun.
