In July 2022 during the peak of the COVID period, I purchased a Merida Scultura 7000 at full price (5.7 million won) ㅠㅠ
Starting with the Passport F1S handlebars in February 2023, as I continued upgrading piece by piece
By May 2026 with the calipers being the last upgrade, I ended up replacing all components except the frame
(including pedals + water bottle cage + speedometer & rear light mount, 6.9kg)
It seems like over 6 million won has been spent (over 7 million won including labor costs)
If I had known this would happen, I should have gone for a flagship model from the start ㅋㅋ
Still, I like the unique color of the Scultura 7000, and since there's fun in upgrading piece by piece, I'm finding some consolation in it
New Red E1 = lever / caliper / chain
Old Red = sprocket / crank arm
New Force E1 = front and rear derailleur
Old Force = power meter chainring
It's a SRAM combination I've never heard of before ㅎㅎ
