According to the guidance from the National Institute of Korean Language,
"Korean Language Education Practicum Curriculum Operation Guidelines (Revised Version)"
Korean Language Education Practicum courses starting from September 1, 2026 will be
operated in accordance with the revised guidelines.
That is, the method of Korean Language Education Practicum may change going forward, and
for overseas residents,
it may become difficult to complete practical training through an online format without entering Korea.
Korean Teaching Certificate Level 2 is
not a course that ends by simply attending theory classes online.
To obtain the certificate,
you must complete Korean Language Education Practicum at the end.
Until now, even those residing abroad
if prepared according to the schedule
could complete practical training through an online format without entering Korea.
However, after the change in practicum guidelines,
for overseas residents, due to the practicum,
a situation may arise where they must enter Korea and conduct in-person practical training.
That is why this July 22 opening class is important.
The practicum is not a course that can be applied for immediately;
you must first complete the necessary theory courses in order to proceed.
By previous education standards,
the July 22nd enrollment class is able to align with the online practice schedule
as the last theory starting class.
For those residing overseas,
this schedule is not simply a July enrollment class,
the last preparation schedule where you can conduct practice online without entering Korea.
If you are residing overseas and finding it difficult to enter Korea, or
due to work, childcare, visa, or stay schedule matters,
for those who have found face-to-face practice burdensome,
you must not miss this July enrollment class.
If you have only been contemplating the Korean Language Educator Level 2 certificate,
this is your last opportunity to confirm.
✅ How to Obtain the Korean Language Educator Level 2 Certificate
* Associate degree or higher
* 15 online courses + 1 practice course
* Total 2-semester program, approximately 1 year required
✅ Acquisition Period
* Bachelor's degree: approximately 8-12 months
* Associate degree: approximately 1.5-2.5 years
* High school diploma: approximately 2-3 years

* Associate degree or higher: up to 1.7 million won
* High school diploma: up to 4.5 million won
When meeting the examination standards of the National Institute of Korean Language,
