Recently, while using Karoo 3, I found some inconveniences and tried to find related extensions to improve them, but there weren't any, so I made one.
Inconveniences
1. The Karoo 3 viper sound is extremely loud. The problem is that the sound cannot be controlled due to hardware limitations, which is why many people just turn it off.
2. If you use Bluetooth earphones, you can connect Bluetooth directly to Karoo 3 and listen to the viper sound.
3. The problem is that if you pair Bluetooth earphones with Karoo, you cannot simultaneously play music from your main phone....
Solution
1. Sideload a music program (I use Melon) onto Karoo and play it back on Karoo itself.
2. This way, you can listen to both the viper and music at the same time.
3. An additional problem is that there is no media control for the Karoo 3 device itself. (The current one controls the media of the paired phone...)
4. Installing the WaterMelonControl extension enables media control for the Karoo device. It can be applied directly to your profile.
Three widgets are provided as profile widgets.
1. Playing - Displays the name of the currently playing song and artist, and tapping the widget takes you to the music app.

Installation
https://github.com/sksense/karoo-WaterMelonControlGo to the above address from your paired phone and share the WaterMelonControl apk file with Karoo (companion app required).
Since it uses notifications to read data, you need to grant notification permissions. There is a settings button in the WaterMelonControl app.
The UI is basically the same as the default controller provided by Karoo. The difference is whether you control Karoo or your phone. You can see it in the screenshots.
A disadvantage of this method is that playing music on Karoo consumes more battery. When riding, you need to activate Wi-Fi and tether from your phone.
