I hope this article is helpful to some of you, and I'm writing this because I'd also like to see comments from experts on how they do it, since everyone has individual differences.
Personally, what I think is most important in circular pedaling is "relaxing the tension in your legs." More precisely, it's releasing tension in the legs.
I have specific steps I use when consciously engaging in circular pedaling.
1. Relax the tension in your legs
2. Imagine a circular shape.
3. Pedal while visualizing my feet becoming one with that circle.
If you do this well up to this point, your cadence instantly increases by 10 rpm.
4. Gradually make the imagined circle smaller and rotate it more compactly.
As you repeat this, you'll naturally feel that you're doing circular pedaling up to a certain power level. You get a clear sense that you're pedaling evenly.
And this is one of the methods I use when I get tired during long distances, and I'd like to know if it's okay to keep using this, and I'd also like to hear expert opinions.
1. Imagine an almond shape.
2. Visualize the pointed part of the almond pointing toward the 5 o'clock or 4 o'clock direction, then pedal following that.
The reason I use this is because when I pedal by visualizing the direction that the pointed part of the almond points toward differently, the muscles that feel fatigued definitely change, so I visualize pedaling in a way that uses the less tired muscles, executing a leg rotation strategy...
