Hello
I gave my 21 year old Propel AD1 to my middle school son.
He rode it with great care, but today when he came home from school, he started crying and making a fuss. I asked him what was wrong, and he said that he was waiting in the elevator of our apartment building for an elderly woman and man who were late. He offered them to go first, but because he was riding his bike, he didn't press the button to open the elevator door.
As a result, the door closed while he was entering, and his bike got scratched.
The elevator in our apartment building is still an old model and doesn't have a sensor type.
So my wife went to the management office to check the CCTV footage, but they said she needed to be accompanied by the police to view it.
They said they couldn't show her without confirmation from the people involved.
Later, the management office checked the CCTV footage and confirmed that the elderly woman and man who boarded first did not press the open button.
Anyway, my son and I are very sad that his beloved bike got scratched.
It's also a shame that the people who boarded first didn't press the open button.
The management office even asked my wife if she pressed the button when she got off.
ㅎㅎ As you know, when there are people in the elevator and you're bringing in a bike, you have to be careful and enter slowly. Usually, the people inside press the open button for you.
I don't have anyone to complain to about my frustration, so I'm writing this post.
Just like you need to practice defensive driving on the road, you also need to practice defensive driving when getting off the elevator.
Everyone, please be safe.
