Overall summary: I think this is basically the first wheelset ever released that lacks nothing across the board while also being priced reasonably.
1. Weight
The total weight is already public, so let me estimate the individual component weights. First, the spokes are just labeled Pillar X-TRA, which is probably the 1420. It's a bladed aero spoke with slightly higher stiffness than the SAPIM CX-RAY and just barely lower aero performance. Weight per spoke is around 4.3g/260mm, and combined with roughly 0.38g aluminum nipples, I'd estimate the spoke + nipple weight at around 235g (50mm) and 230g (62mm).
There's no weight info on the hub, but if we estimate that hub at around 240-250g, that puts the rim weight at roughly 360-365g. That's almost identical to the rim weight used in Wheelab's Alta 50. This isn't quite an extreme-ultralight rim, but it's light enough to call ultra-light.
2. Performance
Given that rim weight, you'd probably be worried about stiffness, but based on my own estimate, I don't think it's anything to worry about too much. It varies depending on carbon layup and design, but with T800 at this weight, rims these days tend to be built so stiffness doesn't drop off too much. That said, I don't think you're going to get stiffness beyond a certain ceiling with this either.
And looking at the rim cross-section... the structure looks like it wouldn't be lacking against either headwind or crosswind. Usually when you drop straight down from a 30mm outer width, crosswind resistance can suffer a bit depending on tire combo, but with this kind of shape, I'd expect crosswind performance to be very good too if paired with something around a WAM 30mm tire.
3. Price
Honestly, the price is what surprises me the most. Even accounting for the 990,000-won point discount and such, it's effectively in the mid-900,000-won range, and that's genuinely excellent. Even if you sourced the rim, hub, spokes, etc. separately and built it yourself, you'd probably still land around that price. At this price point, I think it could send a pretty big shockwave through the market. And that's obviously a good thing from the consumer's perspective.
4. Conclusion
Unless you're a heavy, high-power rider or someone racing competitively, this seems like a great value option for putting together a lightweight wheelset. Thinking it over again, the value-for-money on this is basically end-game tier.
