I've organized my thoughts on what I've felt.(The truth is they just dislike bicycles)
1. Threatening driving and irritable honking happen more frequently toward people who are fully equipped while riding on public roads.
Fully equipped rider = a fortunate person enjoying leisure
Commuter bike, older person = means of transportation
2. People who drive professionally—bus drivers, taxi drivers, truck drivers—react more sensitively.
I came out on the streets to make a living, but you guys are so fortunate? You're blocking the road?
3. Tourists who break through congested roads to reach tourist attractions are particularly sensitive.
There are so many xx who ride bikes and travel around so fortunately.
No wonder the road is congested.
Yet they themselves came to have fun.
4. The reaction of parking management staff when 10-20 enthusiasts arrive at a restaurant or large café.
Their attitude changes between when cars arrive and when bicycles arrive.
There were cases where they would tell us to park in the corner while raising their voice or expressing annoyance. I experienced this several times in the Paju and Yeongjong Island areas.
Vehicles = customers
Bicycles = fortunate people out for fun, an annoying presence
Even if we line up 10 bicycles, they take up slightly more space than 1 car, but they generate sales equivalent to 4-5 vehicles, yet they tell us not to park there while raising their voice and treating us like people eating without paying.
