Claude now creates interactive charts, diagrams and visualizations

Last fall, we previewed Imagine with Claude, a new way for Claude to generate visual materials in real time without coding. We are now introducing a beta version of this feature into Claude chat conversations. Claude can now instantly generate custom charts, diagrams, or other visuals within its responses, and you can modify and change the generated outputs as the conversation progresses.
Claude conversations already include artifacts, which are preservable tools and documents designed by Claude for sharing or downloading into more sophisticated works.
However, the purpose of these charts, diagrams, and visualizations is different. Claude currently generates them to help users understand the topic being discussed. These visuals appear directly within the conversation window, not in a sidebar, and are ephemeral, changing or disappearing as the conversation flows.
This feature is enabled by default. You can either let Claude decide when to create visuals or request specific visualizations with prompts like "Draw this as a diagram" or "Visualize how this changes over time." Once Claude creates a result, you can ask for modifications or delve into more detail.
