I'm trying to do that.
Butyl tube
1. Cheap
2. Even if it gets punctured, you can fix it with a patch and keep using the same tube, so it's even more economical (I used to use 5 patches per butyl tube before ㅋㅋ Still, there was no micro air leakage and it was great)
3. (Most important) It seems like punctures and valve malfunctions are less likely to occur, so there's a sense of psychological stability while riding (I bought several TPUs but experienced a lot of micro leaks from the valve area even before using them; psychologically, it was really hard)
4. Air leaks out more slowly, reducing the frequency of pumping
For these reasons, I'm going to remove the TPU I painstakingly installed and switch to butyl.
Weight difference doesn't really matter unless you're the type who lives in a mountainous area and only does climbing.
Has anyone else rolled back like me?
